John Elston’s career in finance and lending began in 1981 with Security Pacific National Bank; presently, he is embarking on nearly 40 years in the industry. Throughout that time, he has functioned in a variety of roles, including teaching classes in banking, finance and lending for Los Angeles Unified School District and working full-time as a senior loan officer and as a manager before coming to WCC in 2009.

A loan officer since 2017, Aaron Fredericks comes from a background in security operations management, in addition to service as a military police soldier in the Army Reserves. “In both of those roles, I faced diverse situations that did not neatly fit into the solutions box,” he says. “Collaborating as part of a team to find these solutions gave me the most satisfaction.”

Peggy’s more than 30-year background in human resources eventually led her to WCC, where he has been our Director of Human Resources since 2013. In 2017, she made the decision to shift her focus to directly serving our borrowers – specifically, adults aged 62 and over who can benefit from reverse mortgage loans. “I’m taking a leap of faith,” Peggy says, “and doing it all to help those who qualify to benefit from the reverse mortgage product – and, to educate those who may soon qualify for it.”
